Totally slacking

Posted in About Me at 8:52 am by Ellie

All righty! I apologize for my long absence from this blog–I’m alive, seriously. (How often have I said that?) I’m alive, I just have been super busy with work.

I’m on a little mini-break from translating right now, but I’ll get back to it soon. I need to edit some of SWR desperately–the early translations in particular have errors in them–but for now I’m being laaaaaaazy.

I’ll be back and active soon! :(

My Penance: The Rest of TH12.3!

Posted in Touhou, Translation Status tagged , , , at 11:48 am by Ellie

All righty! To make up for the fact that I’ve been MIA for 2 weeks, here’s a little gift: The rest of Touhou 12.3. In fact, here’s all of it:

All 3 scenarios, plus endings, for Touhou: Hisou Tensoku!

I’ll edit them later. And add pictures from the endings. And explain what in the world Mei Ling is going on about. But that’s all later, because I’m a wee bit lazy, I need to go grocery shopping, and really, isn’t that enough? ♥

PS: Checked out my visitor statistics from the last few weeks. Now there are a bunch of Spanish-speaking folks linking to my translation, too. Why are my translations so popular with so many people who don’t speak English? It’s kind of awesome, but it’s still really weird.

Yes, still alive

Auggh, sorry. :D

I’m still alive! Work and life is TRYING TO KILL ME, but I’m still alive.

Hopefully I can get back to doing fun stuff over the long weekend!

Hisou Tensoku!

Posted in Touhou, Translation Status tagged , , , , , at 9:50 am by Ellie

Okay, so maybe I won’t edit. Maybe I will get TH12.3, the add-on to Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, and I’ll end up translating it instead!

I still don’t know what to do with the title–I thought it was Hisouten Soku for a while (Hisouten being one of the Buddhist levels of heaven, and… soku meaning nothing by itself), so apparently it’s Hisou-Tensoku, and now that I know it’s something’s *name* I’m just… keeping it as two words, because whatever.

Sanae’s Plot in Touhou: Hisou Tensoku. Enjoy! There are a number of tricky lines, and a few things I probably missed. And I haven’t edited anything.

But whatever, I have friends playing it, so this is more for them than anything. :D

I suppose it’s worth noting that I HATE ALL OF THE MORIYA SHRINE TEAM. I hate them, I hate their NUCLEAR POWER, I hate Utsuho, and I hate Sanae.

ALSO, PREEMPTIVE: I translate “Mei Ling” as “Mei Ling” and not, you know, MEIRIN, because Mei Ling is a *real Chinese name* and that’s how they romanize it.

More editing!

RARRR I AM GOING TO EDIT SWR IF IT KILLS ME

Edited Patchouli and Aya! That takes care of all the stories up to the collapse of the shrine. Of course, none of those were the super-old ones needing tons of editing, either, BUT WHO CARES.

I’ve been working on real (original) stories too much lately, and it takes away from my translation/editing time. Why do I have so many writing-related hobbies? :( Writing is tedious.

Whee, editing!

Posted in Touhou, Translation Status tagged , , at 8:28 pm by Ellie

Why is editing so much slower than translating? Grrr.

Fixed some things in Yuyuko’s Scarlet Weather Rhapsody translation! I had a couple of sentences wrong. Whoops!

I’m still not 100% sure what Tenshi was saying there at the beginning of her stage, though. Friggin’ Tenshi! Stop making my life difficult with your overblown EPIC DIALOGUE!

Ah, I still need something new to translate, though~ I think I’ll translate a little of Princess Maker 5 or something. After I finish editing SWR.

Random fun times: My birthday is this weekend! Woo!

More Touhous?!

Posted in Touhou tagged at 7:25 pm by Ellie

Awesome! :D

Ghetto five minute translation of the Story:

It was a morning without sunlight, a morning held in darkness.
Perhaps, you wonder, it is just the late-summer morning fog?

You take off in flight from your home, hoping for a mist to help you forget the summer heat.

But when you see *that*, swaying before your eyes, it is no exaggeration to say you’re shocked.

It resembles a human, giving off a lukewarm, evil-seeming vapor
that, as you look upwards toward the mountain, appears to be swaying gently.

— The mountain, in summer, has always been hot, has always been lively.
And she turns her eyes down on the human-looking *that* far below.

Stuff stuff stuff

Posted in Touhou, Translation Status tagged , , , at 7:58 pm by Ellie

I’m *still* getting over my cold, so I didn’t have nearly as productive a weekend as I was hoping for. Boo!

So I suppose I’ll just slooooowly putter along through the SWR edits for a while. I touched up Suika’s today, though it didn’t need too much attention. I did fix one line I didn’t quite understand before, though!

I haven’t edited Yuyuko’s story yet, but I did fix the ending with the Japanese Zidane found. :)

I am tired tired tired today, though. Staying up until midnight watching the hail beat down my apartment was probably not a good idea.

Back from vacation!

Posted in About Me, Touhou tagged , , , at 4:45 pm by Ellie

Back now! :D

It’s been a busy week–I have had a lot of things to take care of. Also, I immediately caught a cold when I came back. I must have caught it while I was traveling. :(

So I have been coughing and sneezing all week. I don’t feel very well. But I’m getting better! I should be all good soon.

I think I’ll begin editing Scarlet Weather Rhapsody this weekend. I’ll do a few of the stories every week until they’re all edited! :)

Vacation!

Posted in Uncategorized tagged at 6:51 am by Ellie

I’m going on vacation for two weeks~

I’ll be out of the country, so I won’t have time to do any translating or anything. :)

I’ll pick up editing Scarlet Weather Rhapsody when I get back!
